In 1992 this native of Paris, Texas, cut his teeth with
the Rock and Blues band 'Stormy Weather'
playing tunes by diverse artists such as,
Led Zeppelin and Janis Joplin.
After playing the local bar scene for a time,
Russell relocated to Sumter, South Carolina.
There, with two other like-minded souls,
he formed the 80's-90's cover band, 'Rhythm Road'
and in no time they were playing parties, clubs and festivals.
As his skills and musical curiosity grew,
Russ took a curve in the road
and hooked up with 'Teddy Spencer & The Nu South',
a Country band that was working steadily.
The Nu South hit the club scene so hard in fact, that at one point the band worked
for 2 years without a weekend off!
As things slowed down for Spencer, Russell decided to return to his roots and
formed the cover band 'As If'. This was the first time he had worked with a keyboard
player and it afforded him the opportunity to play the pop that he grew up with.
Their set list included songs by 'Till Tuesday' and 'Missing Persons'.
In the 90's Russell moved west to California
and before joining 'Audio Voodoo' found work with several Bay Area cover bands
including, 'Off The Record' and 'Junkshaker'.

…is a collective of 4 seasoned musicians
all hailing from different regions of the U.S.
(New York, Texas, Chicago and California),
who have come together to write and perform their
own brand of Original 21st Century Rock.
Based in Central California, the band's music is a stew of various influences
from Led Zeppelin, Deep Purple and The Beatles, to current acts such as,
The Chili Peppers, Velvet Revolver and Gov't Mule.
Their songs are crafted with catchy melodies,
insightful lyrics and smooth harmonies.
And if that's not enough, the slammin' riffs
and killer grooves will blow you away!
